Outrage over the assassination of Mayor Carlos Manzo Rodríguez of Uruapan erupted in Morelia. Hundreds of protesters stormed and set fire to the Government Palace, demanding justice.
CJNG Advances in Mexicali: 4 Killed in Less Than 24 Hours. In less than 24 hours, four people were found dead in different parts of the city, in incidents allegedly related to the CJNG's advance in the region. The two most recent cases occurred on the highway to San Felipe, where two men were found with signs of violence and their hands tied, along with a suspected narco-message. According to unofficial reports, these incidents are related to the dispute between the CJNG and Ch4pizza alliance against the criminal group known as Los Rusos, who are fighting for control of the area. The bodies were taken to the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo) pending official identification.
